As a resident of Underwood I'm surprised by all this glowing praise. It's nice enough, surrounded by good suburbs, kind of close to stuff It's far from the city, has traffic Amazed people have put "close to city" I bought in underwood 10 years ago and it has changed into an amazing place to live with lots of new development whist keeping the safe and private community feel and it is so handy to the city and main beach or gateway north and west Underwood is a wonderful community that has been underrated based on outdated views of the suburb.

There are some really great restaurants in the area as well. Antarctic Circle run by Charlie is our favourite restaurant by far anywhere, amazing service, brilliant Japanese cuisine with a western touch, and affordable. Elios, a small Italian place in Underwood is owned and run by locals and has the best pizzas, is also a favourite of ours.

Nightlife can be had down at the Glen Hotel, however that is about your only option in the area. Transport is a little hard if you do not have a car, however with the bus way not far away and Kuraby train station a short drive there is options.
